The servers were well maintained and over-provisioned to ensure a high level of availability, but it still had downtime occasionally because of the physical hardware. When it was time for replacement, ECS migrated the environment to AWS instead of getting new hardware. The result was a much smoother experience for the company. ABC Corp had a breach of their Microsoft 365 Global Administrator account. The attacker was able to gain access to the account and use it as part of a multi-stage attack to gain access to the company's entire network. ECS was able to respond quickly - containing the breach and ejecting the attacker before major damage was done. Our Incident Response Team then worked tirelessly to discover half a dozen methods for the attacker to retain persistence in their environment and remove all of them to prevent a relapse. Our attention to detail and ability to respond quickly saved the company hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages and ensured their insurance had all the detail needed to cover the incident.
